허영만, 낙상 사고 후 근황 “건강 회복 위해 노력”

낙상사고로 대외 활동을 중단한 만화가 허영만(79) 화백이 오랜 인연들에게 마음을 전하며 회복에 전념 중이다.

Cartoonist Heo Young-man (79), who had suspended public activities due to a fall, is focusing on his recovery while sending his heartfelt messages to his longtime acquaintances.

30일 허영만 소셜 미디어에 따르면, 허영만은 최근 50여 권의 만화일기 속 인연들에게 직접 제작한 판화를 전달하고 있다.

According to Heo Young-man's social media on the 30th, Heo Young-man has recently been delivering prints he personally created to the people he met through his comic diaries, numbering around 50 volumes.

공개된 사진에는 한강 작가의 노벨문학상 수상 순간부터 지인들과의 일상을 기록한 만화일기가 담겼다.

The released photos contain a comic diary documenting everything from the moment author Han Kang won the Nobel Prize in Literature to her daily life with acquaintances.

허영만 측은 “오래전부터 마음에 품어왔던 판화에 마음을 담아 전해드리고 있다”며 “(허영만) 선생님께서도 차분히 건강 회복을 위해 노력하는 중”이라고 전했다.

Heo Young-man's side stated, "We are conveying our heartfelt emotions through the prints that he has cherished in his heart for a long time," adding, "Mr. Heo is also calmly working to recover his health."

앞서 허영만은 지난달 낙상사고를 당해 치료와 회복에 들어갔다.

Earlier, Heo Young-man suffered a fall last month and began treatment and recovery.

이에 따라 2019년부터 7년간 이어진 TV조선 ‘식객 허영만의 백반기행’도 시즌 1을 마쳤다.

방송 말미 제작진은 허영만의 쾌유를 기원했다.
