Taiwan's birth rate has hit a new low. Government fertility policies focus primarily on postpartum subsidies while neglecting prenatal care. How can we stimulate desire to have children and increase public willingness to conceive? This article interviews two leading reproductive medicine experts, Dr. Tsai Ying-mei and Dr. Huang Chen-yu. Through their expert opinions, they suggest that AMH testing should be included in public subsidies to raise awareness early. They also recommend expanding subsidies for medical egg freezing from specific cancer types to include women with ovarian damage such as those with endometriosis and premature ovarian failure, ensuring budgets are precisely allocated to actual live births and filling policy gaps in reproductive health.
